I was raised Roman Catholic, which has shaped my mythical and symbolic imagery. This series relates the didactic text of the Catholic Missal to other instructional and self-help narratives through visual similarities. I believe there is something valuable about the irrational immediacy of visual pleasure that is lost in the slower rational arguments of language.
